Cleansing

TODAY I have sent two letters to Mr Colin Smith, works manager, waste and cleansing, Vale Council.

The two letters criticise the Vale Council's poor standard and poorly-organised cleaning programme of certain areas of Penarth, the 'dolly steps' footpath being one of the areas.

For a number of weeks this footpath has been in an appalling state due to rubbish and fallen leaves.

The precise location of this footpath starts at Plymouth Road, alongside the Turner House Gallery, emerging at Bridgeman Road, Penarth.

It should be a pleasant wooded walk away from roads and traffic, instead it is a disgraceful, disgusting, filthy, litter-strewn insult to decent people.
