Coach throws out challenge to louts

A PENARTH boxing coach has challenged louts to get into the ring after brawling erupted after a night of boxing at Cogan Leisure Centre.

Neil Munn, who runs Penarth Boxing Club, said: "An excellent night of boxing was tarnished.

"These people are idiots - they watch a bit of boxing, have a few drinks and want to fight the world.

"I would say to any one of the people involved they are more than welcome to come up to the club if they want to fight. I guarantee none will."

Fighting was reported in the car park of Cogan Leisure Centre and in Dock Street in Cogan after the event, which was organised by Penarth ABC, on Friday, March 11.

Officers from Penarth police were later called to a disturbance outside Coronation Club in Cogan.
