Taxi firm

FOLLOWING the headline feature in last week"s Penarth Times.

The taxi company Penarth Cars Limited was formed in October 2004 and replaced the former Penarth Cars which had been purchased from the previous owner in good faith and good will in August 2004.

This was approximately six months after operation Gambia had come to a head.

We would like to make it absolutely clear that the present owners of the company are not involved or implicated in Operation Gambia, nor are any taxi drivers of this new company.

Furthermore any taxi drivers who were working for the former Penarth Cars at the time of Operation Gambia and are now working for Penarth Cars Limited were neither involved, accused or implicated in the case.

Penarth Cars Limited is a family run business, bringing a professional and reliable service to the people of Penarth.

It has been turned around in the past six months and brought up to a high standard, providing safe, clean and reliable transport, including disabled access, executive vehicles and minibuses.

We are proud of what we have achieved thus far with the help of our drivers who are professional in their approach.

Mrs B Nicholls, the leaseholder of the business, would also like to point out that she was unaware of any wrongdoing and appalled to learn that an incident of this nature had occurred.

We would like to reassure all out customers that they will continue to receive the high standard of taxi service that they have come to expect.
