Mast plan

THIS is an open letter to councillors representing the Vale regarding the Vodafone application for a mast sited at Clive Place, Penarth.

It is with considerable concern that I object to the application.

The arguments surrounding this sort of application are entrenched in controversy and opinions vary greatly as to whether or not any health problems can be attributed to the proposed mast - now or in the future.

Surely it is because these arguments and discussions are still continuing, that absolute caution should be taken by those having the power to allow Vodafone to site a mast in an area where so many children are.

I would like to think, as councillors voted into office by the very people objecting so strongly to this application, that it should be turned down - if for no other reason than you simply carrying out the wishes of those that you speak out for and act on behalf of.
