Cadets auction sales

THE Sea Cadet Unit in Penarth is in urgent need of renovation.

Although some interior refurbishment work has already been done, there are several major projects such as the roof, exterior cladding and a heating system which need funding.

So, in an effort to raise these funds, the Unit Management Committee and the Parents and Supporters Association are to hold regular Auction Sales at the unit's premises in Stanwell Crescent every two months, beginning Saturday, April 23.

This is un-chartered water for the fundraising committees, but the parents and helpers are all looking forward to the challenge, and their commitment has been commended by the Unit's Commanding Officer Richie Phillips.

We would welcome any items of good condition for the sale, and the Sea Cadet Unit will be open from 9am till 6pm on Friday, April 22, and on the Saturday morning between 9am and 11am to receive goods.

Viewing will be 11am-1pm and the Auction will begin at 2pm. If you need any further information call in on Thursday, April 21, 7pm and 9.30pm.
