Concern after girl is targeted

A SULLY couple have warned parents to be on their guard after their 15-year-old daughter was approached by a man at a car boot sale.

The teenager, who was running a stall at the sale held in Sully on Sunday, was approached by a man who insisted that he wanted to buy the trainers she was wearing.

The girl refused, but he returned to the stall and made the request again.

He later went back to the stall and tried to arrange a meeting with the girl in Cardiff, which she refused.

The concerned youngster told her parents, who called in the police.

Police confirmed that a Cardiff man was arrested on suspicion of'grooming', and taken into custody.

The man was later released without charge.
