Celebrations of war"s end

IT has been decided that Sunday, July 10 will be designated as the day for the celebration of the end of World War II.

The Royal British Legion in Penarth will be holding a service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving at All Saints Church.

The service will start at 11am and will be followed by a buffet at the club, with a pianist to entertain into the afternoon.

To give us some idea as to how much food we will require, we would be grateful if you could put your name on the list on the branch notice board in the club if you intend to partake of the buffet.

On Saturday, July 23 we will be holding a Dinner Dance with disco music at the Masonic Hall, Stanwell Road, Penarth, at 7pm for 7.30pm, at a modest cost to members of 12 and non-members of 14.
