Michael sets his sights on international stage

YOUNG cricket star Michael O'Shea has established himself as a member of the Glamorgan II team this season - and is hopeful of making the England under-19 squad next year.

Michael, who plays for Sully Centurions, hit 61 against Surrey seconds at the Oval last week. This season he has also scored 35 against Warwickshire seconds and 65 in a combined counties match.

Michael, who has secured a professional contract with Glamorgan, toured India with England under-19s earlier this year.

He said: "Hopefully I will be selected to tour Bangladesh in September with England, and then make it into the World Cup squad."
