Footpath

EARLIER this year I remember reading in your newspaper of an unpleasant ordeal suffered by a young lady along the Dingle Railway Station footpath.

Today I had reason to walk the full length of this footpath, from its starting point in Fairfield Road, very near the Catholic Church, Wordsorth Avenue, Penarth, to its finish at Windsor Road, very close to the Dingle bus stop.

This footpath is a disgrace.

Littered, unswept, weed-infested, with a paint-spattered surface, graffiti-covered walls and a vandalised litter bin.

The one light, I am sure, is impaired by overhanging trees.
