Trophy brought home

THE young rugby players of Ysgol Pen-y-Garth proved they are made of the right stuff by winning an Anglo-Welsh trophy event held in Wiltshire.

The Penarth side saw off the challenge of nine other schools from Cardiff, Bristol and Wiltshire, to win the Selwyn Wyatt festival of seven-a-side tag rugby. The squad members were Tom Hillman, Jack Pritchard, Richard Pilcher, Ben Harding, Caleb Rowlands, Griff Walton, Jake Griffett, Danielle Boucher, Oliver Harrison, Sam Abbott, Rhys George, Kieran Carpenter, Kara Davies and Sian Elin Willetts.
