Plea to veterans

AS we commemorate the end of the Second World War, Vale of Glamorgan MP John Smith has urged all those in the Vale who served in the forces to apply for a lapel badge recognising their status as Armed Forces Veterans. The badge has been developed by the government with veterans' organisations and can be worn as a lapel badge with civilian dress.

Mr Smith said: "It is appropriate that all those who served should be recognised through the Veterans Badge."
