Night lights

I WANTED to share with your readers a wonderful experience I had last August at Dyffryn Gardens.

I was lucky enough to volunteer for the Marie Curie Hospice Penarth"s annual sponsored walk.

The walk takes place at twilight and the route is candlelit.

It is an absolutely breathtaking sight, and a wonderfully atmospheric evening, enjoyed by everyone involved.

The walk will take place again this year and once again will raise funds for the Marie Curie hospice in Penarth.

I urge your readers to take part in the walk - it"s just £5 to enter, and if every walker raises £100 in sponsorship, we"d raise enough to fund the hospice for two days.

If you"d rather not take part, why not volunteer to help out on the night?

Whether you"re involved in the lighting of the route, running the registration desk, or a route marshal, you can be assured you"ll have a great time, and you"ll be helping to fund an invaluable local facility too.

I"ll be helping again this year and I know that it will be a night to remember - what will you do that evening?

If you would like to help, the fundraising team would love to hear from you, please call them on 029 2042 6068. 1
