WHAT on earth do the women, opposing the development of the building owned by the Rabaiotti family, hope to achieve as a result of their so-called victory at stopping the proposed development?
The building cannot remain in its present condition and will deteriorate more if something isn"t done to bring it up to an acceptable standard.
The only other option to a feasible development is a dilapidation order from the Vale Council, forcing the owners to bring the building up to full compliance. As that hasn"t happened, that leaves only two options - a commercially viable development or a dangerous pile of rubble.
Perhaps the Save our Seafront (SOS) campaign might reconsider their unreasonable objections. It isn"t their seafront, either, they"re only a vociferous minority. All they"ve done is to stop a development that might have helped make Penarth more attractive to visitors, which is what most people in the town want.
