HMS Pickle sails through

IN A PICKLE: HMS Pickle passed Penarth en route to Cardiff Bay last Friday. The ship - an Anglesey-based replica of the vessel which carried Nelson's battle orders to the fleet, was among the many boats filling up the dock front at Cardiff Bay last weekend, as part of the celebration marking 200 years since the Battle of Trafalgar.

The schooner was also the vessel which brought back to Britain the news that Nelson had won the battle but lost his life. Picture: Chris Jones, Channel Images
