Terry is up for the trek

PENARTHIAN Terry Kibble-white has accepted the challenge of a lifetime!

In October she will set off for southern Morocco to take part in Trek Morocco 2005 - organised by Breast Cancer Care - in memory of her friend Maggie Libby who died last year.

Maggie"s husband Andrew has been very supportive in helping Terry to raise sponsorship for this cause.

Terry will be joining 60 other people for this special trek that will raise money to support those affected by breast cancer.

She will be trekking and camping for five days and nights through the Anti-Atlas Mountains, and will reach a height of 2,151 metres on her final day of trekking.

The route will take Terry through remote mud villages of the Berber people who have inhabited the area for generations.

The terrain and scenery are amazingly varied, taking her across high rocky plateaux, through deep gorges and hidden oases.

Terry said: "Taking part in the trek is a great challenge for me.

"I have strict training targets to make sure I am fit to complete this route and ensure I don"t let down those who have sponsored me."

Terry has pledged that she will raise at least £2,500, but she still has £500 to find - so she is calling on local businesses and individuals to support her.

Ellie Sleeman, Head of Events at Breast Cancer Care, said: "I am delighted with Terry"s hard work on behalf of Breast Cancer Care.

"The money raised will make such a difference to the work we do offering support and information to those affected by breast cancer."

Terry would like to thank Beauty Within and their customers who have generously supported her.
