It's six in net for Cogan

Cogan played at home to Trelewis in the FA Trophy Cup.

The first ten minutes proved to be very lively.

The Cogan players kept their discipline and shape well, eventually putting pressure on the Trelewis back four. On the half hour, Cogan"s Geraint Reynolds scored, to go 1-0 up.

The Trelewis centre forward was sent off for violent conduct just before half time.

The second half saw the midfield of Fitto, Benny and Pee Wee take control of the game.

After putting through Wiggy several times, he put Cogan two up. The defence was pushing people forward to put Trelewis under more pressure. This paid off, with Peter Bennett scoring the third goal.

Trelewis were starting to fade with constant pressure and a very hot afternoon. Gaps were starting to appear in the defence when Wiggy was let in for his second and Cogan"s fourth.

Cogan eased off the play and were made to pay the price when Trelewis scored a goal.

Cogan lifted their game back up and Wiggy scoring his hat-trick.

A well-deserved goal by Scouser made the final score 6-1.

The team: K Clarke, M Allan, C Brambell, G Woodhead, W Drew, P Bennett, I Reynolds, C Fitzgerald (capt), D Sadler, A Wingren, G Reynolds, A Jones, J Coombes, I Humphries.

Cogan Coronation thanked all sponsors and supporters involved with the club for all their help and hard work.

l Cogan entertained Sully Sports on August 24 at home and are away to Cascade a week Saturday.
