Penarth club holds Festival of Rowing to celebrate its 125th anniversary

PENARTH Rowing Club is celebrating its 125th anniversary with a Festival of Rowing on Saturday, September 10 at 12 noon at the Esplanade, Penarth.

Committee Boat Events, open to anybody - any age, any status - include: Committee Boat Men's Open 4+; Committee Boat Women's Open 4+; Committee Boat Men's Veteran 4+; Committee Boat Women's Veteran 4+; Committee Boat Mixed 4+; Committee Boat Men's 2+; Committee Boat Women's 2+; Committee Boat Mixed 2+; Committee Boat Veteran 2+.

Penarth Rowing Club and Mumbles Rowing Club will be competing in the Channel Race for the Cherwel Cup and there will be a Celtic Longboats event held off shore.

Other attractions at the event, which costs 5 per seat, include a sailors v rowers race, an RNLI presentation and much more. The day ends with a festival dance at 7pm.
