Proud day for mayor

THE TOWN Mayor, Councillor Charles Curran, held his Civic Service in St Joseph's Church, Wordsworth Avenue, Penarth on Sunday, September 18.

The service was attended by a number of civic dignitaries, town councillors, past town mayors and representatives of various local organisations together with friends and family members.

The service was conducted by The Reverend Father Joseph Boardman, who was assisted in the service by Father Robert Donkin of St Augustine's Church along with Captain Colin Hylton-Jones of The Salvation Army.

The service was followed by a reception at the Paget Rooms.
