Lucky ladies receive free golfing lessons

ALTHOUGH the Ryder Cup in 2010 may seem a long way off, active steps are being taken to further develop golf in Wales so that when the showpiece event does arrive, Wales as a nation will be extremely proud.

In conjunction with Golf Development Wales, Brynhill Golf Club has invited 50 females to receive six free lessons under the watchful eyes of professional Duncan Prior and his assistant, Ryan James. The course is well into its third week and some of the ladies are showing some great talent.

Hopefully, some of the ladies will progress and join the very well organised ladies' section - enjoying their golf and the social events at Brynhill.

Emma Chips Into Bag Success

Emma Bradshaw, participating in the Golf Development course, achieved a 60 yard full pitch shot into a Tiger Woods umbrella to win a Wilson lightweight golf bag, ideal for ladies.

If you are interested in the golf "taster" or want to know more, contact Duncan or Ryan in the Pro shop or telephone 01446 720277 extn 106.
