Embark upon summit adventure for charity

MARIE Curie Hospice, Penarth, has just announced that their third Snowdon Mountain Challenge takes place on Sunday, June 25, 2006.

And the challenge offers those taking part an opportunity to experience a real adventure while raising vital funds for a worthy cause.

Snowdonia National Park boasts some of the most beautiful scenery in Britain and is a haven for walkers and ramblers of all abilities.

Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales and allows for amazing views of Snowdonia and over North Wales generally.

Friends, supporters, individuals and groups over the age of 18 are most welcome, however the trek fills up quickly so please book early to avoid disappointment.

There is a 10 registration fee per person and all participants are encouraged to raise a minimum of 100 sponsorship.

Community Fundraiser, Emma Baldwin said: "Nowhere else will you find such unique surroundings and breathtaking beauty.

"So get ready for a fun energetic day out with a highly organised adventure team knowing that every walker could pay for a patient to attend Day Therapy for one day at Marie Curie Hospice Penarth"

The sponsored walk will utilise the well known pathway - the Llanberis Path, being the easiest route in terms of steepness and terrain.

Some hill walking experience would be of benefit, but is not essential so long as you are able to walk comfortably for the conditions mentioned.
