Help us find lost cousin

AN ITALIAN family who have never had the chance to meet a relative believed to live in the Penarth area have appealed to Penarth Times readers to help put them in touch.

Angelo Dolcemascolo, who comes from the town of Casale Monferrato in the northern Italian province of Piemonte, wrote to the Penarth Times last week.

Mr Dolcemascolo is appealing for information about a cousin he has never had the opportunity to meet.

He said: "My uncle, Salvatore Dolcemascolo, came to work in Wales and married a Welsh lady called Carol Long.

"They had a son together whose name was Anthony. Anthony was born in about 1966. Several months after his birth my uncle died.

"Uncle Salvatore was known as Joe to his British friends. He worked as a chef at a bistro called The Cellar in Charles Street in Cardiff.

"Carol was an apprentice hairdresser. We believe she remarried and now lives in the Penarth area.

"We would very much like to get to know Anthony and would be extremely grateful if anyone was able to put us in touch with him."
