TWO PENARTH schoolgirls, who will appear in a production at Cardiff's Coal Exchange, are relishing their first opportunity to work with professionals.
Sally Wigford, who goes to Albert Primary, and Eilis Crowe, a Stanwell pupil, will appear in Three Parts Iced Over at the Coal Exchange from November 8 to 12.
Sally told the Penarth Times: "It's fun and it's the first big professional piece I've been in.
"It's exciting too because I love being on the stage because I like everyone looking at me."
Eilis said: "I haven't done anything like this before.
"It's an original experience and a good learning curve as I want to do something with drama or film when I'm older."
Two well-known Welsh talents - choreographer and director, Caroline Lamb, and writer/director Wyndham Price - have come together to create an original work involving theatre and dance supported by visual art created by some of Wales most challenging artists including Artes Mundi nominee, Sue Williams.
Three Parts Iced Over, a story which draws on myths and fairy stories, follows the life from birth to death of a 21st century man, Rhys Williams.
