Spicing things up!

ALBERT Primary School is spicing up its Christmas Fair this year by inviting chefs from the Jaflon Bangladeshi Restaurant along to provide Indian specialities.

The Albert Primary School PTA will hold the annual Christmas Fair on Friday, December 2, from 6pm to 8pm.

There will be a wide variety of stalls this year, with a lucky dip, toy stall, bottle stall, jolly jars, pick a number, pluck the turkey, and the sweet tree, providing fun, games and gifts for all.

There will also be cakes, mince pies, teas, coffees and mulled wine!

Santa will be in his grotto to meet any boys and girls who would like to see him.

There will also be facepainting and transfer tattoos, and stalls selling educational books from Mini IQ and puppets from Home & Orient.

There will be a raffle with a top prize of £100 and many other prizes including afternoon tea for two at Hamptons in their Blue Pelican Cafe.

The school recipe books will be on sale with recipes from staff, pupils and parents and donated recipes from Jaflon and The Olive Tree Restaurant.

The money raised by the PTA will be used to fund playground and library improvements.

Entry is 50p to those aged 11+ and free to primary school children and younger.

The PTA looks forward to welcoming you to Albert Primary School.

* Jaflon will be working again with the school after Christmas when they will be starting a Curry Club for the older pupils.

The children will be learning how to cook Indian meals and get to see how the restaurant kitchens are run.
