OPERATION Arrowhead has once again hit criminals in the Vale hard, with police carrying out operations throughout Wednesday, November 16, resulting in over 30 arrests.
Continuing the traditions of Arrowhead operations, this crime exercise is also given a theme.
Focused on'Stolen and other Unlawful Goods', Arrowhead XI kick-starts the seasonal police activities by targeting any illegal criminality that may spoil everyone's festive joy.
Arrowhead activity began at 7am last Wednesday, with officers carrying out dawn raids across the Vale of Glamorgan.
Those criminals who contribute to the handling and also the theft of stolen goods were targeted, with police aiming particularly at those involved in the use and supply of drugs.
As Operational Chief Inspector Steve Siddall explained: "A large proportion of burglary and theft, and therefore the handling of stolen goods is linked to drug use."
Raids continued through the afternoon and into the evening, with arrests being made throughout the day, bringing the divisional arrest total to 32, for a number of offences including drugs, and the handling of stolen goods.
