New coach gets taste of life at club

WINDSOR Tennis Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Imed Hamrouni as club coach.

Tunisian-born Imed comes to the club with 13 years' experience as a tennis coach both in Tunisia, and, since 2002 in Bristol, where he worked initially at Coombe Dingle Sports Complex. He is currently head coach at Rodway Hill Tennis Club and also works for Bristol City Council in association with the LTA, with projects in Bristol schools and St George's Park.

Imed will take up his post officially from January 1, however, he is running some sessions for club members The first session ran on Sunday, November 27, when some of the club's eight to 11-year-old Mini Orange and Mini Green players were kept on their toes in the first session, after which 16 adult members of the club thoroughly enjoyed a very energetic hour on court - followed by tea and chocolate cake, provided by club president Mrs Chris Smith.

The next two dates are: Sunday, December 4, from 2pm to 3pm for Mini Red (five to eight years) and 3pm to 4pm for 13 - 16-year-olds; Sunday, December 11 from 2pm to 3pm, 11 - 13 years and 3pm to 4pm 15yrs + and Performance group. Any club members are welcome to attend the relevant group.
