Police seek information on kidnapping

AN incident room has been set up in Penarth Police Station by officers investigating a suspected kidnap and rape following the abduction of a three-year-old girl from Cardiff on Monday, January 2.

Three men, aged 26, 34 and 47, were yesterday in custody being questioned by officers.

The 26-year-old man was arrested in the Swindon area after his vehicle was followed by police. The other two men were arrested in Wales.

An investigation led by Detective Superintendent Paul Kemp has been launched.

Detectives are currently carrying out house to house enquiries in the Rumney area and police are asking anyone with any information about the incident to contact them.

The child remains in hospital where she is being treated for significant injuries.

Anyone with information can contact the incident room on 02920 222111.
