A LANDLORD'S efforts to help prevent drink-driving have been scuppered after his courtesy vehicle was vandalised twice in his driveway.
Ken Broad has run the Sully Inn on Cog Road with his son Jason since November.
He recently bought a 5,000 minibus, to pick up and drop off people drinking and enjoying the entertainment at his pub.
Devastated Mr Broad, aged 49, who is a builder by trade, said: "We bought the minibus so we could pick people up and drop them home - so they could enjoy a drink without being tempted to drive themselves.
"We're really trying to get the business up off the ground, and I can't believe the van was vandalised once, let alone twice.
"We were just trying to provide a service to the public."
The minibus, which was parked in his driveway on Cog Road, had its tyres slashed twice between 11pm on Sunday, January 29 and 11pm on Thursday, February 2.
Mr Broad said that he discovered the tyres had been slashed the second time just before he was about to pick up a group of ladies.
"It was so frustrating," he said.
"I had to pick them up in my own car."
Mr Broad is offering a reward of 300 to the person who can give any information to the police leading to the offender's prosecution.
