Road danger

QUESTION - what are our councillors doing?

When I was a lad, my grandfather told me to always respect a councillor, as they did their work for free, and they were proud to look after the community.

Now, my complaint is this - most of the pavements in Penarth are a danger to walk on, especially if you are elderly or feeble.

You have to keep your head down looking for the unevenness.

Also, the roads need to be resurfaced, there are potholes on most roads.

Now the back lanes - take Victoria Lane. Only this morning I walked up this lane and counted 63 empty bottles and 14 beer cans.

Last year it was cider cans, now the pocket money has increased it has progressed to vodka bottles.

What are we paying rates for?
