Herceptin treatment

PENARTH breast cancer sufferer Ceinwen Jackson says she has been told informally by the Vale of Glamorgan Health Board that she will receive the drug Herceptin.

Ceinwen, whose story featured in last week's Penarth Times, said: "The health board postponed a decision on my case until their next meeting, but have told me I will receive Herceptin if it is requested by my consultant at Velindre.

"I am relieved that things have moved forward but at the same time frustrated that I don't have confirmation in black and white."
