YET another accident but luckily no fatalities this time.
But how many times has there got to be an accident with a fatality before Vale of Glamorgan Transport will give the transport back to school children before one of them gets hurt?
As a resident and parent from Michaelston-Le-Pit, we are still fighting Vale Of Glamorgan Transport to reinstate the transport they took away from our children and told us that Pen-Y-Turnpike road is safe enough for our children to walk to and fro to school.
We can all see for ourselves that this route is very dangerous to walk for an adult, so how do they expect children to walk it every morning and afternoon in the rush hour traffic, without getting injured?
The January 25 accident on the Pen-Y-Turnpike Road involving vehicles has just shown that it is not safe.
This road is used as a quick route for commuters going back and forth to work each day and you can see for yourselves how many vehicles use this route by the build-up of traffic on the main roads the day of the accident.
That morning was the safest it has been for a while to let children walk to school as there were no vehicles approaching them at speed.
Why bother putting speed restrictions on the road when people do not abide by them, causing harm to others?
Everyone can see how dangerous that particular road can be so why can"t the Vale Transport see it?
Does it take one of our children to be knocked down before they do anything about it?
By then it will be too late.
