Councillors signal their intent for platforms

A GROUP of Penarth councillors are campaigning for the installation of train arrival time indicators at Penarth and Dingle Road stations.

Cllr Mark Wilson proposed a motion to obtain the indicators, which was passed unanimously at a Vale Council Economy and Environment scrutiny committee meeting.

The indicators the group want installed are the dot matrix type in place at Cogan station, and almost every station between Cardiff Central and Barry Island.

Cllr Nigel Gibbs said: "I want commuters and train travellers to have the same indicators we have at Cogan station."
