Cemetery

I WOULD like to raise the problem of Penarth cemetery again.

It doesn't concern the grass etc which was mentioned last year by a concerned family about the state of the grounds in the cemetery.

The fact was the cemetery was in a very bad way, and it took a grieving family to acknowledge the bad condition of the grounds, which were very overgrown.

But in response to the complaint, eventually the grounds to the cemetery were greatly improved and looked much cleaner and tidier.

Myself being a grieving son, having lost my mother last year, I visit the cemetery very often. The problem I am referring to is the state of the top pathway, where I have to drive and many others do to visit our loved ones.

There are large holes and craters on the path.

I would like the council to have a look at the state of the path, because in my view I think it needs to be resurfaced because if the suspension of my car or anyone else's is damaged, are the council going to pay for the repairs?

I think not.

It's a sad fact to think that we need to write to the paper about something that should be automatically checked, then rectified if it needs repair, to allow us a peaceful and safe visit to the graves of our loved ones.
