Prestigious award for Foxy's

A PENARTH deli has been named among the winners in the Observer"s Food Awards 2006.

Foxy"s Deli on Station Approach was named as one of Wales" best food retailers by Observer Magazine readers.

Foxy"s, which has been open for more than four years, stocks over 20 salamis, 40 cheeses and 20 hams plus scores of other carefully-selected products.

It also has a newly-extended cafe area.

Owner Neil Fox said: "I think our success is a backlash against the big supermarkets, and it goes to show that it"s possible to compete as a small independent food retailer.

"It"s not all about making millions and millions of pounds."
