I’ve just had Sky+ plumbed in recently and I have to say it’s a fantastic bit of kit.
Now I know the novelty hasn’t worn off yet and it’s probably because of that I seem to be recording almost everything that’s on the telly.
That might be a slight exaggeration although I do have enough editions of “QI” stockpiled to keep me going if something nasty happens and we’re all confined to our homes for weeks.
I’ve also been recording all of the Twenty20 World Cup warm-up matches.
Do you realise how late you have to stay up to watch them all?
There’s no way I’ll be able to cope now the competition is underway so I may have to be more selective.
Even though the mini-heat wave we’ve enjoyed over the last week or so seems to have left us temporarily, all it took was just over a day of hot, sunny weather to provoke the good old British reaction in some people.
Just consider how much weather we get which can be roughly classified as average to awful.
That would be quite a bit I suggest.
So we get a small taste of what it’s like to have a proper summer and I overheard that immortal sentence.
"I like it warm, but not this warm".
I swear that's what was said, word for word.
The simple solution to this quandary is to stay indoors of course.
That solves it right off the bat, but that would be too easy.
It's far easier to have a good old moan and get it off your slightly sunburnt chest.
