YOU may recall I wrote about Twitter last week and while checking through the latest tweets earlier today I came across a lady called Tracey Williams who also goes by the name of “The Naked Welsh Writer”.
A little more research reveals that Tracey has come up with an unusual way of promoting her first, as yet, unpublished novel.
The book is called “Blackout” and Tracey says it’s about the “dark side of the valleys”.
As a valleys boy myself I felt it my duty to investigate further. I know what you’re thinking and you would be right, that’s a pretty lame reason.
On February 1st Tracey will appear online, naked, reading the first chapter of her book.
However, if you go to Tracey’s website you can get a personal invitation to view her video forty-eight hours before everyone else.
It’s a creative and unusual way of drawing attention to your work, it won’t be to everyone’s liking but then you don’t have to look at it if you don’t want to.
This sort of idea wouldn’t work with everyone of course; you need to look half-decent in the first place to pull it off, that’s fairly important.
We don’t even have a webcam at Real Radio; we tried one way back in the early days.
It lasted about a week before it was written off as a bad job.
If we don’t even look good enough to have the back of our heads online then stripping off is out of the question.
