AFTER wowing the crowds at Abertillery Blues Festival last year Hokie Joint, pictured, return to Blaenau Gwent, performing at Beaufort Ballroom, Ebbw Vale on Saturday, April 14 at 8pm.
Hokie Joint are a five piece band from Colchester who aim to cover all corners of the blues that have influenced them.
From slow blues to high-energy tracks, Hokie Joint comprise singer Jojo Burgess, guitarist Joel Fisk, harmonica player Giles King, drummer Stephen Cutmore and bassist Fergie Fulton.
They have been hailed by Manfred Mann singer and broadcaster Paul Jones who said of their sound, “wonderful emotive harmonica playing, great tone and all that stuff”.
Hokie Joint’s gig at the Beaufort Ballroom kicks off at 8pm. Tickets are £12.50 and £10 for Blues Club Members.
