Star Wars: Episode VII has started filming again following its break after Harrison Ford was injured on set.

The star was involved in an accident in June with part of the Millennium Falcon, the spaceship his character Han Solo pilots, and apparently broke his leg, needing surgery on it which meant a two week break in filming.

But according to The Hollywood Reporter, production began again earlier this week at Pinewood Studios and the setback isn't expected to affect the planned release date of December 18, 2015.

No details of the plot for the new instalment have been released, but it is set 30 years on from the events of the 1983 film Star Wars: Episode VI - The Return Of The Jedi.

Original Star Wars actors Harrison, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker are back for the new film and will be joined by new cast John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong'o and Max von Sydow.
