Henry Cavill will be among the stars attending a British Academy of Film and Television Arts (Bafta) Film Gala fundraiser in London.

Best known for playing Superman in Man Of Steel, the Channel Islands-born actor joins celebrities including Hunger Games’ Sam Claflin, The Revenant’s Will Poulter and Amma Asante, the British director of Belle, for the event in aid of Give Something Back.

Henry, who will star opposite Ben Affleck in the upcoming Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, also attended Bafta’s Film Gala last year.

Tonight’s campaign to support emerging talent from all backgrounds to enter the film, television and video games industries takes place ahead of the EE Bafta Awards ceremony on Sunday at London’s Royal Opera House.

The Film Gala calls on Bafta members, award winners and industry organisations to nurture and support talented young people from all backgrounds and help inspire and guide their careers.

The inaugural event in 2015 raised more than £250,000 and allowed Give Something Back to deliver a host of initiatives, such as providing scholarships and a research project around industry progression for people from under-represented groups.

Guests will enjoy a dinner followed by auctions featuring film and television-related lots, including pre-release film screenings, exclusive premiere tickets and dinner accompanied by world-famous actors in Fortnum & Mason’s private boardroom.

The EE Baftas, hosted by Stephen Fry for the 11th time, will see The Danish Girl’s Eddie Redmayne go up against The Revenant’s Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael Fassbender for Steve Jobs, Trumbo’s Bryan Cranston and The Martian’s Matt Damon.

The British actor will be hoping to reprise his success at last year’s Baftas, which saw him winning the best actor gong for his role as Stephen Hawking in The Theory Of Everything.
