CAVATINA Singers, Penarth, celebrate 30 years of making music on Saturday, May 17, 7.30pm at All Saints Church, Victoria Square, Penarth.

To mark its 30th anniversary, the choir will perform a new, specially commissioned piece for SATB chorus and piano called 'A Life in a Day' by Penarth based composer, Ian Lawson.

The programme will also include John Rutter's "The Sprig of Thyme", a cycle of folk-song settings as well as pieces by Elgar, Mansel Thomas, Frank Tichieli and Thomas Morely.

Tickets cost £8 and include a complimentary drink and canapés. There will also be a raffle for a range of exciting prizes offered by the business people of Penarth. Tickets can be bought on the night or from Foxy's Deli, Penarth .
