BESTSELLING author Helena Attlee will lead a creative writing workshop inspired by Dyffryn Gardens on Saturday, August 9.
Anyone interested in writing, gardens or landscape is welcome to join Helena and creative writing tutor Emma Beynon at Dyffryn
During the day an intricate chain of garden rooms and walks, the walled vegetable and flower gardens, greenhouses and arboretum will be explored.
Using a series of imaginative activities, Helena and Emma will lead you through writing into a deeper understanding of Thomas Mawson’s marvellous design, and the passionate plant collecting that underpinned it.
You will hear from Helena about her writing practice. You can expect to leave the workshop with some finely crafted writing and the skills to develop new writing habits.
This day will suit anyone who enjoys writing, from complete beginners to experienced writers. It will provide a wonderful opportunity to deepen your appreciation of this beautifully restored garden.
The workshop runs from 10.30am–5pm costs £60, to include tea and coffee, but bring a packed lunch.
