MADE by Hand: The Contemporary Craft Fair is coming to Cardiff this October and has announced the details of 135 diverse talented exhibitors that will attend the event. Running from October 31 until November 2, the event held at City Hall, is the largest craft fair held in Wales and will bring together exceptional craftwork from leading award-winning makers, which have all been handpicked by a panel of industry experts.

Visitors to Made by Hand can also enjoy workshops, craft demonstrations and inspirational talks at Cardiff’s historic and sumptuous City Hall, which is located in the heart of the city. And children can experience free drop-in classes provided by Llantarnam Grange Arts Centre.

Enthusiasts for making will be able to shop for supplies at the John Lewis Haberdashers and the Made by Hand Café will be serving great food. There will also be plenty of live music for shoppers to enjoy over the three days.

Made by Hand is part of a portfolio of events organised by Sarah James and Nina Fox. Sarah and Nina also organise the highly acclaimed Contemporary Craft Festival in Bovey Tracey. The Contemporary Craft Festival was launched in 2004 and has established itself as one of the leading craft events for collecting contemporary craft. This year’s event, which took place in June, attracted almost 10,000 visitors.

The event will be open Friday from 10am until 4pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am until 5pm. Adult daily tickets cost £6 and concession £5, with an adult super saver weekend ticket costing £11 and a concession one at £9.

Made by Hand is produced in association with Cardiff Council, Visit Wales, the Arts Council of Wales and John Lewis. For further information, including a full list of exhibitors, please visit www.madebyhand-wales.co.uk.
