PENARTH and Barry Deanery Mothers’ Union will host a coffee morning on Saturday, October 11 at All Saints’ Church Hall, Penarth. It will run from 10am until noon and there will be a variety of stalls plus a raffle.

Entry is just £1 and all are welcome. Proceeds to the work of the Mothers’ Union.

The first meeting of the winter season of talks of Dinas Powys Local History Society will take place on Tuesday, October 14 in Kynance Hall at 7.30pm.

There will be a lecture by Pamela Robson on 'Dial '0' for operator - life as a post office telephonist. This will be followed by coffee/tea and biscuits and then the AGM.

An admin fee of £3 for non-members and £1.50 for members is payable at the door.
