THE PARISH of St Andrew Major is holding its Autumn Fair at the Parish and Lee Halls on Britway Road in Dinas Powys on Saturday, November 22.
The fair will be opened by Father Christmas at 2pm and children can then meet Father Christmas in his magical grotto.
Visitors to the fair will have the opportunity to purchase high quality, hand-made gifts, cards and Christmas decorations as well as purchasing goods from many other stalls, which include White Elephant, books and cakes. Refreshments, including home-made cakes, will be served in the Lee Hall and the admission includes a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit
The Rector of St Andrew's Major, the Revd Andrew James, said: "All proceeds from the Autumn Fair go to charity and this is the main charitable fundraising activity of the parish. Last year more than £2500 was raised and charities, both local and overseas, benefited from the hard work of the parishioners from the churches of St Andrew's, St Peter's and St Michael's. Charities receiving donations from this year’s fair will include the DEC Ebola Crisis Appeal, Help for Heroes and the Multiple Sclerosis Society."
