SAINT Peter’s Church, Old Cogan will hold an advent event on Friday, December 12 at 7.30pm.
For the 17th consecutive year there will be an evening of Christmas readings (Christmas Voices) held in candlelight in the ancient atmosphere of Penarth’s oldest (12th century) building.
There will be a small group of choristers and congregational carols. You will be able to enjoy readings by many famous authors about the season and the Nativity.
Tickets cost £7.50 with refreshments included.

The next book signing for ‘The Romans in the Vale of Glamorgan’ by author Karl-James Langford will be on Saturday, December 20. He will be signing copies at the WH Smith, Penarth from 10am until 4.30pm.
Come and hear from the very wacky author, who is also an actor. Maybe with the book you can by some 'Otter's noses', and some 'Fried Bats wings'.
