ON Saturday, December 20 the Rocking Christmas Dance returns to Penarth Ex-servicemen’s Club.
With the success of last year’s Christmas Dance the event could become an annual occasion.
The Dance will see a rare local performance by John Lewis and his Trio who have toured around Europe, Scandinavia and Russia this year.
John Lewis is a very popular and respected musician for his vocals and guitar skills. Next year they already have a 23 day European tour booked and gigs as far as Japan.
John said “It’s great seeing the world but I love doing small local gigs, it’s nice to be home for Christmas”.
Their new album “Sanity” was released on August 1 has had some rave reviews and airplay all over the world.
The album recorded in Penarth features the Jets on the title song and even the Clive Rams choir on a rocking instrumental version of Sosban Fach, who will be making an appearance on the night along with a few more surprise guests.
The DJ for the night is the legendary Ricks Medicine Show which will keep you dancing.
Tickets cost £6 and are available from Pencerdd Music Penarth or at the Ex-servicemen’s club. Doors to the event will open at 7.15pm.
