THE Johnny Cash Roadshow is coming to St David’s Hall, Cardiff on Saturday, January 17.

Johnny Cash’s first daughter Rosanne Cash has seen the performance of The Johnny Cash Roadshow and has commented on how the resemblance is uncanny. Clive John has taken the role of Johnny Cash in this hit show.

Clive John originally performed his own material until one crucial event in his life made him dedicate his musical career to becoming a tribute artist to the late Johnny Cash.

Clive John lost his best friend to cancer but before he became ill he gave him a double album of Johnny Cash’s greatest hits. Instantly Clive John took to the music and couldn’t stop listening to the album once he has started.

Once his best friend, someone who had spent three years travelling with him to every gig, passed away he shelved the idea of Johnny Cash.

It was only when the film Walk The Line was released that he reconnected with the idea of becoming a tribute act. Clive John has admitted he doesn’t listen too much else apart from Johnny Cash and with such dedication to the artist has developed a show which truly captures who Johnny Cash was as a performer.

Clive John now solely focuses on his The Johnny Cash Roadshow and is very proud of the fact that he has endorsements from the Cash family themselves.
