PRIDE Cymru is organising a free event as part of LGBT History Month taking place on February 28.
The event, 30 Years of LGBT Pride, will be held at The Cardiff Story in The Hayes, Cardiff, between 1.30pm and 3.30pm and features speakers including Gethin Roberts (the original Gethin from the film Pride) of LGSM and Sian James MP, one of the miners’ wives.
They are joined by the organisers of the first Cardiff Gay Pride march, also in 1985, to tell their stories of gay life in Cardiff in the 80s and by Stonewall Cymru to bring us up to date.
Pride Cymru also organises Cardiff’s annual LGBY Pride festival and parade which will be held on Saturday, August 15.
