WALES’S only annual national arts festival for over 50s is back for its ninth year and it promises to be bigger and better than ever before.

This year’s Gwanwyn festival from Age Cymru features music with knitting needles, trying graffiti, free running, singing and more.

There will be a packed day of workshops for over 50s at the Wales Millennium Centre on May 16, where over 50s can try their hand at graffiti, free running, singing and much more.

Plus there will be the amazing ‘music with knitting needles’ performance by Jobina Tinnemans during the weekend.

Jobina’s performance of ‘Killing Time’ is accompanied by workshops for knitters (just the basics are required) to learn how to make music from her specially adapted knitting needles.

Details of the festival are on their website at gwanwyn.org.uk.

The Gwanwyn Festival is run by Age Cymru with support from the Welsh Government and the Arts Council of Wales.

Age Cymru is Wales’s largest and leading charity for older people.
