DYFFRYN Gardens continues its programme of arts with Striking Attitudes on May 23.

The professional dance theatre group for the older dancer is based in Cardiff.

Their mission is to create performance and creative opportunities for older dancers, both professional and community. 'Older' in the dance world indicates anyone over 40.

The group will be performing tableau-style choreography inspired by the house, gardens and history at Dyffryn. This performance is part of the Gwanwyn festival, a month long festival held across Wales every May to celebrate creativity in older age. Gwanwyn Festival is supported by Arts Council of Wales and Welsh Government.

Striking Attitudes will be performing in Dyffryn house throughout the afternoon between noon and 3.30pm. This is a free performance but normal admission prices apply.

They provide approachable theatrical dance that welcomes both experienced and new dancers through dance classes, workshops, live performances and film; and were selected recently to perform at the prestigious Elixir Festival at Sadler's Wells in London.

Striking Attitudes receives periodic project funding from the Arts Council of Wales and Age Cymru for professional and community based performances.
