THE Railway Hotel will be holding a cask ale festival to celebrate the May Bank Holiday Weekend.

The four-day festival will take place between May 22-25 with as many as nine ales available at the venue on Plymouth Road.

The festival will run from 9pm-1am on Friday and Saturday and 9am-midnight on Sunday.

Some of the ales available include Brecon Red Beacons, Celt Experience Bleddyn, Gower Brew, Kite Cwrw Gorslas, Mantle Cwrw Teifi, Otley Brewing Co Thai Bo and Wye Valley Butty Bach.

Old Speckled Hen and Copper Beacons will also be available.

General manager Luke Halbert said: “We are big cask ale fans at the Railway Hotel and look forward to hosting our first cask ale festival and educating the local people of Penarth over the Bank Holiday.

"With lots of ales to try and great entertainment, it’s set to be a wonderful weekend.”

There will also be music from local band The Striplights who will be performing from 9pm on Friday, May 22.
